Kevin Durant, Jack Dorsey invest in wearables startup popular with pro athletes

Boston-based Whoop, maker of a wristband that tracks athletes’ biometric data, has raised $25 million and added a number of big names to its ranks of investors, advisors and executives.

The startup’s Series C funding was led by UAE71 Capital, a secretive investor based in the United Arab Emirates. Whoop wouldn’t share much more than that about its new lead investor.
