Oakland’s largest landlord to break ground on 288 apartments

CIM Group, Oakland’s largest landlord, is adding to its massive development pipeline with another 288 new apartments near City Hall.

The Los Angeles-based developer partnered with Strada Investment Group to buy the public land at 1100 Clay St., where development has been planned since 2000. CIM said construction would start “immediately” and finish within two years.
