Transbay Transit Center steel inspector was accused of paying kickbacks to get UCSF work

The inspection company responsible for testing two steel beams that have cracked, forcing the closure of the $2.2 billion Transbay Transit Center, was sued this summer over an alleged kickback scheme related to obtaining inspection work at UCSF.
